WW2 Polish Units
Polish Army 1939
A much more effective army than the 1939 campaign has given credit for. It was largely an infantry force, with two motorized brigades, and a large cavalry arm. There were also several armored trains. Despite rumors to the contrary Polish cavalry did not charge German tanks with lance. From 1940 the Poles in the West followed British organizations, and from 1942 in the East Russian ones.
