Greece

Greece is NATO and WEU member and placed at the meeting place of Asia, Africa and Europe.  Greece is heavily deployed on its Eastern frontier with Turkey and is deployed in Albania and FROYM.  Greece supports the Republic of Cyprus and has gone to war with Turkey three times since gaining independence from Turkey.   Greece and Turkey are NATO allies in name only and do not cooperate with each other unless under the supervision of the USA.
